College moving
Totes for the semester move.
Dorms and apartments do not need a wall of cardboard. We drop off clean totes. You and your parents pack. You move. We pick up the empties.
TSH-01 · The room
Fewer totes than a house. A tighter clock.
A college move is smaller than a family house, and the clock is worse. Move-in weekend at a dorm gives you a window, not a week of curb space. A first apartment near campus has a stairwell, a loading spot, and a parent who drove in with the car already full. Cardboard makes that tighter. You buy boxes, you tape them, and you break them down in a hallway that was not built for a pile of flats.
Tote Sweet Home rents the totes. We do not haul the move. Clothes, the desk lamp, and the bin of winter coats travel with you, with your family, or with whoever you hired to carry them. We show up with empty totes and lids. We come back for the empties once the room is unpacked.
Most dorm rooms and first apartments pack into fewer totes than a house. The Starter Stack is 20 totes, 1 dolly, and 14 days. If the closet runs deeper than that, other stacks go from 30 totes up to 80. Stack names are labels, not a promise about how much you own. The counts are on the pricing page.
Parents usually take the day that looks like labor: the car, the elevator, the question about whether the desk drawer got a label. Removable labels come with the totes. Lids close without tape. We still only deliver and pick up. We do not pack the room, and we do not carry furniture down the stairs.
TSH-02 · Timing
Book the semester, not a guess.
Tell us the drop-off address and the pickup address when they differ. A family house in DuPage one week and a dorm or apartment the next is a normal booking, as long as both stops are places we already serve. Standard handoffs need a safe, ground-level spot. Stairs, elevators, parking limits, or a campus address we have not seen yet get a quick review before we confirm. That is the same rule as every other order. The four stages are on how it works.
If move-in slips a day, ask. We recheck stock, the route window, and the cleaning buffer before we confirm a new date. Do not assume the totes can sit in a dorm lobby past the day we agreed. When you are done, empty them, peel the labels, clear out debris, and nest them. Lids and the dolly go to the pickup spot we agreed.
We deliver in the Lombard and DuPage corridor already on the site. Town pages are up for Lombard, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Elmhurst, and Downers Grove. If the dorm is outside that map, read the service area page before you book. We will not draw a new route on a hunch.
A rental window is not a storage unit. We will not hold totes in your name over winter break unless a booking says so, and a booking is the dates you reserved, not a locker. When the 14 days are up, the empties come back to us.
Skip the other three uses if this is the one you need. If the move is really a first apartment you will live in past the semester, the new home page is the closer fit. A shared house that is mostly desks and file boxes is on the office page. All four sit on use cases.
Next step
Book it before move-in weekend.
Pick a stack, add both addresses, and name the dates. We confirm the drop-off before we load the route.
We do not haul the move.
Empty totes in. Empty totes out. Your things ride with you or with the people you asked to carry them.
